Skate Journeys France

January 24, 2008

Skate Journeys is delighted to help coordinate the second annual skate foray to France from May 7 to 18th. This trip is not hosted by Skate Journeys and you pay no fees other than your own travel. We simply try to coordinate airfares and hotels to get the cheapest price. Also, the skaters coordinate skate journeys in and around Paris. We also meet up at Angelina's for Hot Chocolate...to die for. Last time we skated to museums and brought shoes, broke off into personal time but usually met up for dinner somewhere.

You may choose any days for your trip, the Freestyle Slalom competition in Paris is May 9/10 so you will get a chance to see the best of the best. We have one apartment rented which is already full, but have access to additional ones.

Please consider joining our email list by emailing doug@skatejourneys.com Please note that Skate Journeys is not responsible for any skater, Skate Journeys merely hooks up everyone so that they can individually plan their own trip should they want to coordinate it with other skaters. It is an unhosted trip. It is so fun, Bienvenue.

Skate Journeys Skate School is located in Bellevue and Seattle, WA. With 24 instructors and staff we offer 9 levels of skating from Brand New Beginners to Advanced. Our school's foundation is in artistic skating, much like ice skating but we also offer classes and clinics and in-class skills (meaning within our basic foundation classes) on marathon prep, indoor speed, Freestyle Slalom and Artistic Group Routines. We have about 65% adults and 35% kids. We offer classes 48 weeks a year and our students tend to stay with us up to two years, which is about how long it takes to get to our advanced class. From there they tend to join our instructor staff.

Skate Journeys offers summer camps and coordinates Do-It-Yourself Skate Journeys to Idaho, France and shorter jaunts to some of the 40 or so trails in Washington state. The Journeys are free, and you are invited to view our website for any adventures which might peak your interest.
