How long have you been skating?
Hmmm... I remember the metal wheel skates that make your feet numb as you skated down the street as a very little kid. Actually I started skating regularly in the 6th grade every weekend at a local rink. Around 8th grade I totally converted to become a "rink rat" and gave up organized school sports to become a "really cool speed skater".

What kind of skating do you do?
Currently I skate for recreation and fitness (great cross-training for ski season!). My neighborhood has one of the best places to skate along Alki Beach on a 5 mile paved trail with awesome views of Puget Sound. I still like to go to the local rink for "Adult Skate Night". They always have a fast skate towards the end of the session!

What other activities do you participate in?
I love to road and mountain bike, alpine ski, hike, and play in organized indoor and beach volleyball leagues . I also hunt occasionally with my husband and teach adaptive skiing in the winter.

What do you think of the K2 Alliance program?
K2 is genuinely interested in developing a great quality product that meets the specific technical and fashion needs for women. I think that it is a terrific idea to get a group of average women and ask us what we want and what fits right. Do you know any other room full of guys that will sit and listen to women talk about the latest fashion colors, footwear and accessories?? I am proud to be part of the program, it has re-ignited my passion for skating. I hope the T-Nine skates do the same for other women!

What do you like most about K2 skates?
They have such a comprehensive line of skates for every type of skating style! K2 didn't just put a different color flower on a model of skate to make it women's specific.

What is the skate of your choice?
Do I have to choose? Right now I have a Pro Longmount Race skate and a JETTE Zebra. The Zebras are a really fun and fast skate but I can't wait to try the Radical skate. I really enjoy the soft boot!
