Trish run's Skate Journeys Skate School in Bellevue, Washington, just a hop skip and roll from K2 Corp. on Vashon Island Washington. She has the largest skate school in the country including 8 levels of classes from Beginners to Advanced. There are 15 certified instructors at her skate school and they teach 48 weeks a year at a roller rink (given the weather, she needs an indoor location). www.skatejourneys.com
Trish is a Certified Level II instructor and has both Master Fitness and Blade Fitness skating certifications. She co-wrote the Fitness Inline Training Program which teaches instructors how to teach skaters to skate a marathon. She is an SES (Skate Education Specialist) with the USSG (examiner who certifies skaters to become instructors). The USSG is the governing body in the United States which certifies skate instructors. Trish is a former competitive ice figure skater and has been teaching inline skating since 1996. She completed the Athens to Atlanta marathon mostly skating it without a pace line and has skated in Duluth, Long Beach and locally the Solstice Skate and Seattle-Redmond Skate for MS.
